: The lense is pretty much as described except it is not really "OM mount" it
: is a screw mount and an OM mount adapter. The lense is light for the size,
: indicating the quality of construction no doubt. It seems unlikely that ANY
: information (other than light) goes from the lens to the camera (in my case
: an OM-1) due to the way the adapter / mount thing works.
:
: I paid $167 for it and am undecided on whether to return it or not.
Seems like a reasonable price for a new 500mm/F8 T mount lens. If you can live
with non-automatic stopping down, why not try it?

Of course you can always complain:
"This Kalimar lens will work great on your Olympus OM-1, OM-1N, OM-2, OM-2MD,
OM-2/N, OM-2S, OM-3, OM-4, OM-4T, OM-10, OM-10FC, OM-35 RC, OM-35 RD, Om-35 SP,
OM-77AF, OM-88, OM-1N, OM-707, Om-2000, OM-F, OM-G, & OM-PC."
Just say you tried it on your 35 RD, removing its lens and now the camera is
broken... ;)
