I bought an OM-4T. Absolutely love it. But.... seems the bayonet mount stop
slot is slightly worn. My Zuiks and a couple of nonames lock in it fine. My
Adaptall-2 mounted Tamron 28-200 will slip right past the slot with little
effort. The Tamron locks fine in the OM-1 and OM-2 that have very good edges
on their respective slots. The adaptall-2 is about a year old and looks ok.
But I assume this is a combination of the wear on the body bayonet slot and
the tension or something in the lens mount.
I suspect that I'd have to change the bayonet mount on the OM-4T in not now,
sometime down the road. Can the part be had, and can this be done at home?
Cost? Should I just take the camera back and keep looking? Should I blame
the Tamron and buy a Zuik? (Just checking!!!!) Really, anyone else had this
experience with the Tamron adaptall-2?
Thanks for any help.
