Hello everyone!
I had to drop out of the list almost two years ago, but thanks to a few
friends
on the list, I`ve kept abreast of the latest, I think.
Currently I am in Tokyo, visiting my parents.
The M-system 35mm/2.8 that I spotted last week is still available. The lens
is
in better than average condition and comes with a metal hood and a
hard-leather
case.
The price at the store is 25,000 Yen. The sales tax in Japan is 50n top
of
this. The finder`s fee I would like is 3,500 Yen, but negotiable.
Including
the shipping cost, I calculate the total to be approximately $272.
I should point out that there should not be any customs duties on camera
equipment when mailed into the United States as I have never paid any when I
had a number of items mailed from Japan. The US charges very little if any
duties on camera and associated photo equipment. The exchange rate is about
120 Yen to the dollar, and thus is favorable. Since I am going to Yodobashi
in
a couple of days to purchase a variety of items, I would offer buying some
Olympus accessories for you at cost and send them along with the lens.
Please contact me as soon as possible at tomokoy@xxxxxxxxx. The store said
that they could hold the lens longer if the purchasing interest is certain.
