I empathize, Dave. Besides my pretty little OM-2, I own a Leica M3 and a
Rolleiflex Automat MX EVS. I've had the M3 for many years and have always been
perplexed by the insanely inflated prices for Leica accessories. But,
then...for the same reason you did...I bought a Rollei. YIKE!
Frankly, I was thrilled to pay $130 for a brand new Zuiko 50mm f1.8 for my Oly.
I couldn't believe the price was so low for such a wonderful lens.
Don't complain...rejoice! Right, Dave?
