Oh, think twice before going there......
Ok, I'll try and remember.
In the battery compartment is a single screw. Remove it. The top cover then
snaps off. DO NOT TOUCH THE BIG HONKIN CAPACITOR. Take a high value resistor,
bend the leads to the same width as the contacts on the capacitor and touch
it thereto. You can then test the voltage across the capacitor with a
voltmeter. If it reads zero, you're safe to touch it.
Notice that everything is stuffed in there pretty tight. So, depending on why
you want to take this apart determines what you do next. Replacing the foot
is the hardest probably.
