Hi all, just hoping someone might have an answer to
this one. Just last week I found a camera I,ve been
looking for for a long time, a very clean Pen S. I
checked the camera out carefully due to the fact it
had a ding on the rewind end. Everything seemed to
work properly, so I paid the man and went my way
happy. Now for the weird problem; the shutter sticks
ONLY when film is in the camera! when you take the
film out the shutter works fine. With film in the
camera you wind on, release the shutter(on any
speed)and it stays open till you start to wind to the
next frame, then it snaps shut. You only have to just
start to wind the film, sometimes just touching the
winding wheel will cause the shutter to close.
Needless to say I'm really bummed, and if push comes
to shove I'll just have to send it to John H. and hope
it's not BER. thanks for listening to the rant, and
any ideas will be appreciated. John Robison
