The signature looks like an attachment in Outlook Express, and is not
obtrusive now that you've removed the receipt request. HOWEVER, I expect it
probably looks like a string of nonsense to the digest subskribers. I think
it would be best if OM messages were not digitally signed, and do not
request receipts. Strange thing, this is the first time that I've seen these
2 concerns come up on the list. What's the current number of members...

Something similar did come up on the list, a couple of years ago, I
think. Several people were attaching digital business cards to
messages to the list. Finally they were prevailed upon to cease and
desist.
I am not sure how other Email programs work, but Eudora has an
attachments folder where the attachment file goes automatically. It
is a mess to go in there and separate what I want to keep from all
the other garbage. Digital sigs and business cards just make it a lot
worse.
