Johnny,
First, let me welcome you, heartily, to the list. You picked an odd week to
sub*scribe, as we don't normally have such terrible rants and blow ups.
Maybe once a month <g>.
Your questions have already been answered, but I thought I'd comment on
your route back to OM. I went through exactly the same path. An
inexpensive digital camera 'awoke' my interest in photography. While I
still shoot a lot of digital snapshots, the weaknesses of digital pushed me
back to 'real cameras', most specifically sports (my daughters) and macro
work. I pulled out my trusty kit, which consisted of an OM-1, OM-2,
off-brand 28, 50/1.8, off-brand zoom, T32 and BG2.
Well, now I have more than that (I'm the running joke, you'll catch on).
Be careful. Zuikoholism is insidious. First it is a Bounce Grip 2, then you
have to have a 90 Macro, then.....
Well, you get the idea. And we're all enablers.
Have fun!
Tom
