Just thought I'd share my joy....
The other day, I received an OM-1N that I purchased from a listmember.
Last year, I had bought a non-functioning OM-1 (non-MD), had it
repaired, played with it for a few weeks, and then sold it for a nice little
(GASP!) profit. Naturally, as soon as I sent it to its new home, I
regretted having sold it. The OM-1 is a *marvelous* piece of
photographic engineering!
So, now I'm once again the proud owner of an OM-1 body. This one's in
pretty good shape and seems to work wonderfully. Someday, I'll get it
CLA'd, refoamed, and converted to the 1.5v silver-oxide batteries. But,
for now, it's plenty good 'nuff to use and enjoy. Aaaahhhh!!! I just LOVE
that "buttery" sound of the OM-1 shutter, and the way it looks and feels!
But wait! There's more!
I *finally* "liberated" the OM-4 (new circuit) that I put on layaway at a
local camera store just before Christmas. Since bringing it home last
night, I've just about shot a roll of "test" photos. I must say that I'm
REALLY impressed with the feature-set and operation of the OM-4! I
can already tell that I'm gonna get REALLY hooked on its spot metering
functions! WOW!!!
Anyway, there you have it! Chris has two new "toys" to play with! Cori
and I are going out tomorrow on a photo "jaunt." We're hoping to get
some shots of the goslings (baby geese) at a local park, plus maybe
some macro and flower shots. Yes, spring has *finally* come to
Edmonton, although we could use some rain to green things up a bit.
So, who ever SAID that Christmas doesn't come in April?!?!? :-)
Regards,
Chris
