[OM] early or late 28mm?

Hi all, I can get a 28/2 with lens number 115994.  It says MC.  Can you, who 
have this lens, give me an idea of it's age?  Like, which lens numbers do you 
have, and when did you buy it.  I also wonder about the first version that 
(reportly) has a close distance 'thing"?
