Hello
I'm new to this list, but have followed it for some time, and think it's
great. . I'm swedish, so please forgive my technichal terms. I
discovered the beauty of the OM-system jusr ayear ago, starting with an
OM-2S, a 35-70 3,5-4.5 (I know it's the "poor man's variant) and a
100/2.8 witch is a very nice lens. The important thing is that I've
with the Om-system already noticed a great improvevement in quality,
regarding measurement of light, of the pictures I take (mostly of
portraits of "everyday"-people in third world countries and of
sceneries. )
I am the now happy owner of a OM-4T (champange), bought used for appr.
$290. Cosmetic condition B- . This is due to the fact my OM-2S was
stolen in Morocco.
The real question of this message is:
I have a slight problem with my new 4T camera; the exposure compensature
ring (is that a swedish expession??) leaves "dirty" values after I've
originated it to zero. It keeps going +/- and meter is like crazy up and
down, This is very much up to the cameras "mood" and can be adjusted by
turning it to Manual or Auto, depending of the the original setting.
Batteries are new SR-type and the funny thing is I had the same problem
with the 2S just before it got stolen, But that body had then been in a
sandstorm for several hours.
I just wonder if anyone experieced the same ting; with the exposure
compensator going wild, and if so what to do about it???
