early IS-10s had a lot of trouble with zoom tubes that would come disengaged
from each other. Tubes were / are plastic and the slots were "V" shaped.
When the stud was pushed out of the slot, it would cause a burr in the tube
so even if you slid the stud back in, it now had an easier place to pop out.
