You are better off obtaining the Series 1 70-210/2.8, which can be found 
and bought on eBay. Much faster and pictures are crisp. I had both 
(70-210/2.8 & 70-210/3.5). Also, check out Gary Reese's lens test at 
http://members.aol.com/olympusom/lenstests/default.htm for additional tech 
info. My $0.02
