Yashica/Kyocera produces Zeiss, Cosina produces Voigtlander, Samsung's got

little Rollei Prego's? My Contax G1 and Leica CL are EXCELLENT products,
especially optically, but the lineage has diffused.

Kyocera makes the Contax bodies based on an agreement with Yashica when
Zeiss Ikon was closed and liquidated by the Zeiss Stiftung about 25 years
ago. BTW, the Zeiss Stiftung still *owns* the Contax name . . . Kyocera
uses it under license. AFIK, Carl Zeiss is still making T* lenses in
Oberkochen.
