After I wrote that I went to the site to download it and realized
there are now many more limitations. I have just downloaded an old copy
of CoolEdit 96 to the new computer. I have yet to try it but maybe the
old version no longer has any demo limits? we'll see. I looked at a
number of other editors and they all seem to have the same limitations
on the Demos.
I hope it works as well for you as it has for me.
