I don't know how insurance works in the UK, however on this side of the pond,
you can buy a separate policy on which you schedule (list) the equipment you
want insured. This coverage is relatively cheap, typically is "all risk"
coverage and provides world wide coverage. No one who has ever dropped a
camera, found theirs in the bottom of a lake or had one end up in a pawn shop
thinks it being insured is anything but a good idea. This advice comes from a
