Hi Chuck!
I just put both the stage and bellows on a single rail and mounted some
bodies on them. The body on the stage is definitely 1-2mm higher than the
one mounted on the bellows. I measure just under 2mm, actually.
That said, I took off the bellows, mounted a 28mm/3.5 on the body and was
able to get the front of the lens to connect with the slide copier. However,
I had to loosen the slide copier and definitely does not rest flush on the
lens. The top is flush, but there is a gap at the bottom.
Maybe somebody else has some experience, but I don't think this is a usable
combination.
The one thing that I have noticed, however, is that the rubber pad on the
focusing stage is pretty thick and just might make the difference if you
removed it. Then again, maybe it is already squished down at it wouldn' t
matter.
