The saga continues. I have notified eBay that I have no way to remove the
information nor do I know how to. I also informed them that these sites are
not under my control. They are going after me because the can. Watch out! You
are next.

Hello,
Thank you for the reply.
For safety, among other reasons specific contact information may not be
published in any public area. To consider a reinstatement this
information must be removed.

Thank you for the information concerning the links. It is unfortunate
that such extreme action was taken without finding out the details of
this situation.
I am a member of a camera list specifically about Olympus cameras. We
have approximatly 500 members worldwide. The two sites you have
mentioned are the result of a discussion about how to avoid some of the
less honest sellers on eBay.
We regularly advertise among ourselves when we have equipment for sale.
In addition, we promote auction alerts for Olympus equipment that we see
on eBay. A number of us regularly use eBay as sellers and buyers.
Each individual volunteered their nickname and email address (which we
already knew) so it could be compiled into a list. The list is located
in two different locations that I am aware of. One is maintained by a
young man in California. The second is maintained by a man in Scotland
on a server in Canada.
We did this so we could be assured of a successful transaction when
bidding on eBay, as several of us have been "taken" by unethical and
intentionally deceptive practices of certain eBay sellers.
There is another location, not associated in any way with our Olympus
list, that lists auction participants and their email addresses that I
have been made aware of in the last two days.
I have no control over what the other list members put on their sites,
but have made them aware of your concern. I have not and will not
divulge email addresses of individuals I do business with or communicate
with regarding auctions.
As of today, this topic has generated large amounts of email on our
list, non of it positive toward eBay! You may want to think about how
others perceive your policy in this regard as eBay competes with other
auction sites on the Internet.
Thank you,
golftooter
