The way I look at it, my OM stuff is a collection of tools to DO
SOMETHING... creative, entrepreneurial, entertaining or educational. If I
don't use em, then they aren't tools anymore, but a collection (which is a
valid pursuit if it trips your trigger, just isn't mine). I pay for what I
need, so I can do what I want. Of course good deals are + for price, and
can be + for creativity, but not getting the + for price doesn't mean we
lose the + for creative pursuit..which is the main point in my book. I
don't think anyone will post a list of all my gear and what I paid for it
on my tombstone....it would attract...uh...
I buy and sell on ebay some too, but delete most of our list ebay messages
most of the time. Easy enough (why did I read this one? Stop the BS caught
my attention ;-)
My favorite discussions of late have been the series of messages about
recouping the creative juice or inspiration. Today's discussion about
seeing and composing in B+W was worth reading too. I really loved (who's
message was this?? sorry I don't remember everyone) a recent description
from a month or so ago about how to photograph performances. One of you
took some time to write a detailed description of the thinking, strategy
and technique. THANK YOU! I enjoy reading this kind of stuff that comes
from the hearts and experience of you all.
Thanks to those of you who inspire my OM problem-solving, thinking, seeing
and DOING.
cheers!
Chris
