The XA1 is the simpest model in the XA line:
- selenium meter cell (a la Pen-EE) , and thus no battery
- F4 4-element fixed-focus
- shutter f4 1/30 - f22 1/250
- 100 or 400 asa film
Not worth buying when an XA-2 offers much more for very little money these days
(not to mention a 'real' XA)...

:I did it again! I bid on an auction for an XA-1 with an A-11 flash just to
:be able to track it, and won! In fact, this time I somehow managed to
:bid against myself! (SIGH!)

:Fortunately, the reserve wasn't met so I'm not obligated to buy it.
:However, it's got me to wondering what I might have gotten myself into
:had the reserve been met.
:Anyone who owns an XA-1 wanna comment on it? Are they good?
:Bad? Ugly? What are they worth? Do I want one?
:Regards,
:Chris
