The larger circle of the 1-4 obviously doesn't exactly match the weighted centre
area, but it can be used as a guidance to determine more or less the area that
has more influence on the exposure. It wasn't made for the curtain pattern of
the OM-2 either (was already announced when the OM-1 was introduced). Maybe the
words I used in the eSIF aren't too clear about that or too suggestive. And I
see I omitted another fact about this screen: the centre is special matted, a
bit finer. This can make focusing easier at high magnifications or under low
light conditions.
