I just got a very nice silvernose 300 f/4.5 in today that is really in
excellent condition, except the aperture blades are visibly oily. It stops
down quickly, but takes forever to open back up. I knew this when I bought
it, so I factored that into the purchase price, but I need to get it
cleaned.
Is this an easy task? What would I use to clean it off?
I suspect I should just send it off to get a CLA.
Today was a bit of a bonanza. I got the smaller of the big kits I bought.
Everything was in better than described condition. It's fun to unwrap.
Thanks
Tom
