This actually makes a lot of sense. The Om system we all know and love would
not exist if Olympus had been worried about backward compatibility (with the
FTL for example) or conventional thinking. Instead the OM team started out from
scratch and designed an elegant, fantastic, and revolutionary system camera. As
disappointed as I might be at not being able to use my Zuikos on a digital SLR,
I am confidant that the performance of an Olympus Digital SLR would be worth
the loss.
