Actually that's what I do. I *think* I've got "this is the aperture ring"
down pat. :-) What I do is study the photos that I like, read any
accompanying text 'bout how it was done, and then next time I go out "on a
shoot" I try that particular technique. Then, when I get the results, I
compare my shots to the one in the book.
Or, was your point that the photos in that book aren't all that great???
