I'm not overly interested in the Cosina Voightlander cameras, but I've read
up on their products and development for some time. Obviously I would MUCH
rather own a real Leica, but the cost is prohibitive. I'm VERY glad that
SOMEONE out there in the camera manufacturing business cared enough about
making a less expensive system capable of using Leica's lenses.
I'm a little disappointed that Cosina didn't didn't come out with a regular
[built in the camera] rangefinder for use with Leica M lenses Perhaps this
will change.I never expected Cosina to come out with the Bessa R AFTER the
Bessa L. Maybe they will surprise us with a Bessa Z or something to that
effect. If I could talk to Mr.Kobayashi, the CEO of Cosina I would ask him
to put low light metering into his system like that of the OM2, plus off the
film metering.I 've seen some of the lense tests for the various
Voightlander screwmounts and they are REALY good performers testwise. Mr.
Kobayashi deserves a lot of credit for his efforts in this endeavor.
