On Broadway in Seattle, right across from Seattle Central Community College,
is a very well done statue of Jimmy Hendrix, playing on his knees. Makes you
smile to see it. I've seen people walk or bike past it and reach out and
touch it, affectionately. I've seen a fresh red rose placed in his hand.
Was told just today by a guy who barely remembers the 60's (you know what I
mean) how to find Jimmy's grave. Think I'll go there sometime, maybe take
along the OM-2S. If I'm not mistaken, Bruce Lee's grave is nearby in the
same cemetary.
I wouldn't be surprised to see this guitar go to the J.H. Music Experience,
the new rock museum next to the Space Needle (Seattle's Frank Ghery
building). Wonder if Paul Allen is watching this item?
