I've just acquired a humble Zuiko 135mm/f3.5 for £20 (usually around £50 here
in UK). Not quite in Garth's league I know (envy, envy, envy...). Got it cheap
because the mount locking tab does not spring out and hence does not engage in
the body slot - although the tab moves in and out quite freely. This won't be a
major problem as the lens is quite a tight fit on the body. It's a good
condition lens in all other respects.
Just wondering whether it's possible to easily fix this. Would I have access to
the relevant bits if I removed the rear aluminium metal collar held on by 3
small crosshead screws? Or should I leave well alone?
This has just broken my 2 month old resolve to buy no more Oly gear. But I did
need a somewhat lighter medium telephoto to take trekking up on Dartmoor
(didn't I?) and at £20 who cares?
Only trouble is the whole of Dartmoor (one of my loves) is out of bounds at the
moment because of the Foot and Mouth.
