This is just to say "hello" to this list. It seems to be a
nice place!
An OM-user on de.rec.fotografie directed me here ... because
against all expectation I am finding myself the owner of a
(battered but perfectly functional) OM-4 and two Zuiko lenses:
50/1,8 and 28/2. The 28mm has a slightly sticky diaphragm
and is currently at a repair place. I hope the repair
will prove successful -- as far as I have heard, the
28/2 would be worth it.
For the last two years I have been getting into photography
with increasing intensity. Since I am on a tight budget,
I've very slowly collecting bits and pieces for my Canon
EOS and was just looking for a wide angle lense ... when
the 28/2 caught my eye. And next to it the sweetest little
camera. Having used with delight my mother's old Konica T4
outfit (until she wanted it back and sent me a Rollei 35SE
as a ransom), I knew I'd just love a manual system.
So I fear I might be turning into an Olypophile.
Thus "hi" from a German living in Paris. Some of my pictures
(as of now none taken with the Olympus yet) are at
