I was in picking up some slide sleeves and couldn't help but stop by the
used OM case. Zuikoholism made me do it ;-)
That OM-4T (body only $459.00 in ex- to bargain condition due to minor
scratches, just serviced with warrantee) I posted about a while back is
still there and has been joined by a black OM-4 and some other goodies.
I noticed a MD2 there but they want ~$375.00 with battery pack and
charger which seems high to me. (I want one for my OM-4T but not that
bad I don't think...) While their prices tend to be on the high side I
also noticed a Zuiko 2XA Converter for only $139.00 which seems like a
good deal (nice condition it appeared at first glance but I didn't
examine it carefully since I already have a 2XA). The name of the place
is Camera Club and they are located in Capitola CA. I do not know who to
talk to or have any personal connection (in fact I really don't much
care for them but they're kinda the only game in town). Thought I would
pass along the info, especially the 2XA since they are pretty hard to
find and that seemed like a better than average price.
It is at least nice to walk in and see a well stocked used OM shelf
(even if I did have to explain to the sales guy that the OM-4T has
memory spot metering). They had a large selection of lenses and may be
worth a stop by for SF Bay Area Zuikoholics the next time they head over
to the beach or Capitola.
