Just as some sellers (myself included) refer to Hans' e-SIF site in their
auctions. Thanks to both Skip and Hans for such wonderful resources!

I disagree. What elevates prices is uninformed (or over-excited) buyers
who bid more than what something's truly worth. Take the T20 flash
that went for US$75 or the OM-10 that went for US$125 (no extras) as
classic examples.
Informed buyers (i.e. those using an "authoritative source") would tend
to keep prices level (i.e. at the "authoritative" market value), if not a
little
low (i.e. through hard bargaining).
Just my opinion, though. And we all know how wrong *that* can be
sometimes! :-)
