-I currently still have both lenses, the 350/2.8 and the 400/4 and see them
as totally different lenses.
2.8 to f4 is a big difference. The Tamron is alot lighter-long and skinny
while the 350 is heavier and fatter. A 2-4 screen works well with both.
I see the 400 as portable and even handholdable while the 350 is really
stretching it.
Protective front filter available for the 400/4-not so on the 350/2.8
Both are beautiful lenses and are very sharp.
Owning either one-or both, is really a treat.
Both are collectables and their prices will probably do nothing but rise -
who needs Leicas for appreciation?: )
