Pretty cool, Mark. I'm enjoying your lens vicariously. And of course, you
wear the "DF Crown" for the month. Don't you think, though, that we're
overlooking the flip-side of the equation? Why don't we ever acknowledge
and celebrate those people who are on the other end of these amazing
deals? I don't think I'll ever be able to claim the DF Crown for myself,
since my rule is to sell low and buy high--in fact, in the mid 1980s I
sold my entire kit of OM1, 75-150, 24f/2.8, and 50f/1.4 for a little
under $200. (I probably sold it to Dorris, I can't remember.) Don't you
think that I should get some recognition for being the person that
facilitated such a deal? What acknowledgment do I get for making such a
Fangable moment happen for someone else? (While we're on the subject,
does anybody here wanna buy my 250 for $20?)
