Probably, but it sounds like a better solution than some of the
alternatives. Having a level tripod doesn't mean that your camera is
level. Now someone else mentioned a quick leveler that goes between the
head and the camera. That would probably be the best solution because
it's probably a safe bet that the tripod thread in the camera is
parallel to the film plane.
