Richard, here are three photos of some custom jewelry taken with a Vivitar
macro focusing 2x teleconverter and a Canon FD 50/1.4 lens.

It's an outstanding combination with any good lens, but best with shorter,
lighter weight, faster lenses. The only drawback is having to manually
calculate flash exposures, or otherwise compensate for the light loss.
