The cover plate on the ASA knob is just glued on -- lift it gently with
a
sharp pointed X-acto knife. There's a small index notch on the knob,
and
matching tab on the plate -- align the knob so the "+/-" goes off in the
finder, align the plate so the window is horizontal, and you should see
where they meet. Put a tiny dab of contact cement there and two other
spots on the edge and replace the plate.
