I would generally agree with Doris here in OM-heresy. Semi OM-heresy can be
achieved by recommending the Tamron 400/4, which works wells with the Olympus
1.4X extender, giving you 500/5.6. You never did tell us your budget though.
Cost no object lens would be C or N's 400/2.8, 500/4 or 600/4 offerings, some
of which approach small economy cars in cost. At the lower price end, you can
try the 400/6.3 or 500/8 presets for a low price (and contrast) approach or
the 500/8 or 600/8 mirrors. Stay away from the Samyang mirrors as I had to
give one away it was so soft.
