Suggestion - You needn't cut the charger cable to get the proper setup
to charge a battery pack. Get the "Relay cord", it has the proper
connector on one end to attach to the motor drive. On the other end is
the plug to match to the battery pack. It also provides push button
connectors (labeled) to wire into the remote feature and to your
positive and negative sides of the battery pack. In short, just obtain
a relay cable and you needn't destroy anything.
This is also a clean method to wire a long push button remote control
to your motor drive (In addition to the M-type cord on the top).
