I haven't checked what the pro-labs charge for just processing because we
don't (Yet!) have a scanner that will to negs. So, that's (Currently!) be
useless for us as we wouldn't be able to view the results.
Chris, you're not thinking straight -- you get the pro lab to do the actual
negative development, and then take the negs to a regular lab for normal
processing. Ask the pro lab to do a proof sheet, inspect the proof sheet
using a loupe, and then take *only* the negs you want re-done to someplace
like London Drugs. Even though you have to use their reprint service (more
expensive than the first-time processing), unless you're printing over half
the roll you'll probably come out ahead in the end. That's what I used to
do before I got the Sprintscan. Now I just get "neg only" development and
scan everything (occasionally I still ask for a proof sheet).
