I located the Vision age issues #s 3 and 4 (both 1985) which extoll the
virtues of the XA. Issue #3 has an article about taking the XA mountain
(rock) climbing. Issue #4 has the article authored by Bonington where he took
the XA in his climb of Shivling. He says he takes the XA along with his OM-1
(which he went to in 1974) on all climbs because he can use the XA
one-handed. He takes 5 rolls of Kodachrome 25. He keeps the XA in his
sleeping bag with him (for warmth) and used it to get sunrise shots.

<< << In an article for a UK photo mag a few years ago he said he used an
OM1n & Kodachrome 25 above the snowline. 24mm was his preferred lens, and he
also
carried a 35-70. I believe he uses Canons now.
