The German "Fotomagazin" has in its January 2001 issue a test a various
mirror lenses. The Zuiko 500 is not among them - sadly, no Zuiko lenses
seem to be included in lens tests any more - but the Sigma 600/8 and the
Tamron 500/8 are.
The Sigma gets a "super" rating with 8,8 out of 10 points, while the Tamron
gets a "very good" rating with 8,6 points.
In a Danish test some years ago, Canon took the #1 spot, followed by
Olympus, Leitz, Minolta and Tamron.
(The Sigma was not among those lenses tested then).
If you are looking for a good mirror lens - and something cheaper than the
Zuiko, the Tamron is a good choice.
As far as I can see in the new German test, the Sigma lens is not available
in the Olympus mount.
