Actually, polar bears are considerably larger than the Grizzley,
just slightly smaller than the Alaskan Brown Bear. While both the
polar and grizzley bears are potentially equally hazardous to
humans, it is true that polar bears, in their natural habitat,
strictly eat meat whereas other bears including the grizzley are
omniverous. Polar bears are actually that largest land-based
carnivores in the world....
I thought that naturalists had pretty well settled on the fact that
Alaskan brown bears and grizzly bears were the same animal.
