And in other news . . .
Finally got cabin fever today waiting for at least one day on a weekend
with some clear sky and bright sun. Been heavy overcast with fog since Friday.
Sometimes you gotta go with the flow and let the weather make the
photograph instead of trying to make the weather. Went out to a local park
and shot off a number of frames. Used the heavy overcast and fog I had
been cursing for almost a month for some very low contrast. With the snow
on the ground, barren trees and heavy overcast, nearly everything was black
white, or gray except for the bridge. Its deep red should make it stand
out, and the fog softened the background making it disappear . . . melting
off to nothing as contrast fell rapidly with distance.
It will be interesting to see how it all turns out. The ducks and geese
were out in the water as portions of the ice finally melted enough for them
to swim around again. The seemed quite happy about that. Like kids on the
first day the pool opens for Summer.
