The Olympus exploded parts diagram lists two variations of the 8mm lens.
Type-1 is single coated and Type-2 is multicoated. The only difference
is in the rear element group and the second from rear element, all other
parts are identical. I have a single coated version of the 8mm lens so
it does indeed exist. I believe a single coated version can be identified
by the writing on the side. An SC would say "ZUIKO AUTO-FISHEYE 1:2.8 f=8mm"
whereas an MC would say "ZUIKO AUTO-FISHEYE 8mm 1:2.8". My 8mm has serial
number 100461 and the original owner told me he purchased it when it first
came on the market.
