Dear JUANITA,
If your OM meter suggests f/8 at 1/60, and the flash has an auto
setting, for your ASA, of f/5.6, then you could expose at f/8 &
1/60th and have the flash fill in at a 2:1 existing:flash lighting
ratio. I'd suggest 4:1, a two stop difference, looks better, so in
this case, you'd have to set your flash so that f/4 is the aperture
the flash unit suggests, and f/8 is what you use.
You might have to use manual rather than auto exposure for this to
work. The camera might choose a speed slightly higher than 1/60th on
auto.
