The ad I saw on photo.net was the 55mm f/1.2, *not* the 50mm.
I agree, if it were a 50mm f/1.2 it would be a great deal (I've got one and
it _is_ an awesome lens). The difficulty in looking for a used 50/1.2 is
finding one. I almost passed on mine (to get one later) and very glad I
didn't. Probably would not have one now if I had. They do surface
occasionally, but you have to continuously search and not dawdle around
trying to decide if you want it when you do find one. Somewhat like the
40/2, those that have them will not part with them.
