Keep the tripod posts coming as I too am looking for a general use tripod. I have a Gitzo mono-pod that I use for my racing photography (tripods are generally not allowed on the track-side of the fences, spectator areas only so I don't have/carry one). As I am starting to get out and shoot other things more I am feeling the need for a decent budget priced tripod and all suggestions are welcome!
