I checked out the mushroom photo/scan. I don't think it is a very good
photo, but it certainly is photography. One person argued that one must
have a lens/shutter combination: What about pinhole? What about
Photograms? They use photo paper. What about Emulsion/image
transfers/SX-70 manipulations of polaroids? They look less like a
photograph than the mushroom, and don't use traditional photographic paper.
Sure, there's very little work involved in putting some mushrooms on a
scanner, and I think the results are uninteresting. Someone, however, may
put something on a scanner that is. My 2 cents.
