OM-2 is very low drain. With the switch "off" drain is "ZERO". If
batteries drained that fast to cause lockup, they would be warm when you
took them out of the camera.

Subject: Re: [OM] Battery Nomenclature
| I just got this OM2, it appears to be in good shape. Well cared for,
smooth operation and very quiet shutter. I put SR44's in it and shot about 2
dozen exposures and got a mirror lockup on any attempted exposure, manual or
automatic. The battery check light lit continuously when checked, but it
required a reset procedure after each exposure. I put 2 more SR44's in and
it then worked ok, but I haven't stressed it. Will borderline SR44's check
ok, but not perform? Is this considered a hi-drain application and in need
of the 357's?
