John, it appears the original Kodak T400CN is being phased out and replaced
with Black & White+. Occasionally I see short dated T400CN but stores are
mostly carrying B&W+ now.
While I've heard various claims that B&W+ is improved, I can't substantiate
them either through observation or any definitive statement on Kodak's
website. Considering their history of simply relabeling film I'm betting
they changed the name to avoid confusion with T-Max and to make it more
clear to inexperienced consumers that this film is, indeed, a "black and
white" film (sorta).
Whatever they call it, I like and use it.
