Nicads are bad for the 310. The warning is even cast into the battery
compartment.

| I once wrecked an A11 flashgun (as used on XA cameras) when I

| I am now concerned. I have been using NiCads for over a year in my
| A11's and A16 with no "apparent" problems. Are there any warnings or
| symptoms of impending failure? I guess I will have to check the manual
| when I get home.
|
| Has anyone else had problems using NiCads with the XA Flashes? Is it
| due to the high charge rate or over heating the tube from too many
| flashes?
